Parents

Parenting isn't easy. That's for sure. It is one of the most rewarding & challenging things a person can do. It's a parents, God given, job to discipline and disciple their kids, and, believe it or not, parents have more influence on their children than anyone else does. It's a big responsibility that God also purposed to be a huge blessing.

Our desire at Coggin is not only to be there for, and help, our students, but we want to be there for our parents as well, because parents are where the influence starts. As families navigate the process of disciplining and discipling their children, we stand as support and help for them.

Parents, we are so thankful that you share your kids with us and as you do, we want to:

  1. Be a support to you

  2. Keep you informed on all we are doing

  3. Be available when you have questions

  4. Connect you with resources

Parents, we are starting a new 1 year Sunday School series called "The Thread: Discovering the Thread of the Gospel Through the Big-Picture Story of the Bible."
Through this study, students will get to learn about God's story and how He wove His thread of love through every page of the Bible. We want to help your child build a strong foundation for their faith.
With this study comes daily devotionals that can you can find on our social media pages.
One thing, in particular, we are excited for in this series is that we are offering you, the parent, an opportunity to get involved.
Every week, you will find a link on this page that will take you to a list of Biblical conversation starters that are connected with each weeks lesson. We hope that you will use this resource as a way to disciple and walk closer with your child. The link will be updated every week.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your students discipleship journey.
We are praying for you as you have conversations and disciple your child.

"Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.

It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth.

Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate."

Psalm 127
